The Technological Effect on Law

Abstract

The role played by technology over the past few decades has been one of key relevance. With the constant innovation and development of technology that takes place in the field of science, other fields are reaping the benefits of the same. This paper looks to understand the impact that technology has had in the legal field over the past few decades. Technology is a resource that is so far-reaching, affects individuals right from the grass root levels all the way to the top. The paper looks at how technology has impacted various groups which are connected to the field of law such as students, law firms as well as the judicial system in its entirety. Starting from the process of studying the law, all the way to the process of implementing it, each activity possesses certain advantages as well as disadvantages with regard to the technological impact. The paper, therefore, looks into weighing the pros and cons of technology that is used in the legal field so as to determine the impact of the same.
